This is a Pryor Mountain wild mustang. She was the lead mare watching artist Karen Keene Day while the other mares and their babies grazed. High above on a ridge, their black stallion pace watching out for them as well. He and his lead mare worked as a team to protect their family. She was pregnant, but dignified and unbending in her, determination to watch Karen until she left. Karen called her “Absolute Dignity”.
